Experiencing your baby falling ill is a tough part of parenthood, but I never imagined having to admit Lala to the hospital at just 8 months old.

A few weeks back, we took Lala to the hospital. Before her admission, she was dealing with cough, colds, and fever. We consulted her pediatrician, and we were managing her medications at home. However, the decision to bring her to the hospital came when she couldn't keep down milk or food, and her eyes revealed the depth of her discomfort.

At the hospital, she underwent COVID tests, although I was pretty certain it wasn't COVID. What proved to be even more heart-wrenching was the 8 attempts it took for the IV. I couldn't bear to watch her endure the needles. It was tough, feeling a mix of guilt and helplessness, as she cried, perhaps wondering why we were putting her through all of this.
