How to be a woman of God? What are the basis/factors for a woman to be called a woman of God?

Does she need to serve the church? Does she need to memorize every word of the Bible? Does she need to cover her whole body and not expose a single skin? Does she need to stay pure forever?

Proverbs 31:30 has always been my favourite. And when I decided to write something about it, I felt the need to read the whole verse of Proverbs 31. Of course, I read it already but what I meant was to read deeper into it.

Below are my reflections for every verse:

10 A woman who has morals and dignity is more precious than any treasure in the world.

11 A woman of God is trustworthy and will have the trust not only of her husband but of the people around her.

12 A woman of God will bring goodness to her family and the people around her. To love and care for them.

13-15 I combined these verses as for me these all pertain to a woman being hardworking. A woman of God provides what is best for her family and works hard to provide for them. She will use her ability and what she has to provide for her family their needs. She will work hard to always improve herself. She isn’t lazy. She is mindful of her time and uses it for worthy things.

16 A woman of God will use what she has to turn and make it into something even bigger.

17-19 She is strong. Her arms are strong enough to carry whatever she is to carry. A woman of God does not give up on hard times. Even if everything is going great, she does not take advantage of it.

20 A woman of God cares for everyone. She is charitable and willing to help. A woman of God treats people fairly.

21 Hard times don’t worry her. Her faith and values armour her and her family during hard times.

22 She respects herself to dress well and take care of herself.

23 Her husband and family will be proud of her.

24 A woman of God uses her skills and gifts from God to serve her family and other people.

25 She is strong and she carries herself with dignity and grace. She remains optimistic and happy even on hard days.

26 She is wise. She speaks words of truth. She uses her words to lift others and not tear them down.

27 She is not lazy. A woman of God does not waste her time not doing anything. She does not wait for someone to do something for her. A woman of God takes her own responsibility.

28 A woman of God is praiseworthy. People and her family adore her.

29 Because of her virtue and her inner beauty she stands out among all women. She is one in a million.

30 This is my favorite. A woman who fears the Lord and lives her life for the Lord is way more worthy to be praised than a woman with just a pretty face.

31 Lucky is the man, who finds a woman of God. She is worthy to be proud of.

Reflection:

If I am to reflect on everything I’ve written above; a woman of God is someone compassionate for her family and for others. She takes care of herself so she can take care of others. This woman fears God. She knows God’s greatest commandment “to love your neighbor as you love yourself.”

I won’t be saying that I am a perfect model of a woman of God. I don’t memorize each verse in the bible nor know them by heart. I don’t go to church as much as others. I sometimes hurt people. But I live my life with values in which I think what God wants me to be.

I worked hard so I won’t need to depend on others. I respect my fellow women’s feelings and try hard not to hurt them. I have always been faithful to my previous partners. I dress in a way that people will respect me and my family. I used God's gifts to touch people's lives and live a life for others.

I have always wondered, what am I doing to myself? When all the other women out there at my age are traveling, partying, buying stuff to be always in style—and here I am working three times harder to look out for my family. But every day God sends me signs to remind me that a life lived for others is the best life.
